Capacity Insurance Company (CIC) was established in 1989 as a Florida domiciled Commercial Lines Insurer writing exclusively in the State and specializing in commercial-habitational and mercantile property and liability insurance.

Over the past two decades CIC has prospered in the Florida marketplace developing a reputation of stability, consistency and fair claims handling practices.

Capacity Insurance Company was acquired in 2009 by Focus Holdings. Focus Holdings was established in 2000 as a diversified group of companies serving the property and casualty industry. Through its various subsidiaries, operations include Managing General Agent (MGA) and wholesale brokerage, program management, residual market, actuarial, statutory accounting and premium finance services.

MacNeill Group, a subsidiary of Focus Holdings, is a full service MGA that will provide production, policy management and infrastructure support to Capacity Insurance Company. MacNeill Group was established in 1946 and has been serving the Florida insurance community since that time.

Capacity is directed by a team of seasoned insurance executives under the leadership of Douglas W. Bullington, CEO; Kevin M. Tromer, President; Kenneth J. Bolen, EVP, COO; Skip Whitlock, Sr. VP, Claims and Ronald S. Terzer, Sr. VP, Compliance and Audit.

Capacity has been providing solutions for two decades and today stands strong and ready to meet the challenges of the future.
